Joe Kirk Fulton ordered an oil painting of Aledo Bar. During the research for the details I always took photos from every angle. Wayne Pooley was holding him for me in the arena south of Lubbock. Aledo Bar had been World Champion Halter. It was about 110 degrees and this pup kept getting in the shade. We would move him out and he would come back. Finally in this shot, which Joe Kirk used in his QHJ ads for years, the dog was also pictured. Joe Kirk liked Wiescamp horses and use Aledo Bar on daughters of Skipity Skip by Skipper W for a wonderful blend. Joe Kirk died last August at age 81 after a long battle with cancer.
