This photo was taken about 1970 on the King Ranch, Kingsville, Texas, of Dr. J. K. Northway the ranch resident veterinarian, and famous Triple Crown Winner (1946) Assault. I used to buy and sell some cattle to/from the King Ranch. I always dealt with Leonard Styles, the Santa Gertrudis Div General Manager. This is one place that the ranch is as large as the legend.
