In 1990 Dickinson Cattle Co Inc exported live Texas Longhorn cattle to Poland, by air.  Since then live cattle, semen or frozen embryos have been exported to Brazil, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Nigeria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Denmark, etc. As a result of these early exports, Texas Longhorn herds are growing in several countries.

John Wayne, a result of frozen embryos shipped to The Netherlands, is now developing nicely in Europe.  Frozen semen is available from John Wayne to other Texas Longhorn producers now qualified for shipment in Europe.  John Wayne, who arrived in The Netherlands, from Ohio, via frozen embryo, is now a beautiful specimen with 68.9" horn tip to tip at only 28 months. He is believed to be the widest horned bull, for his age, outside of the USA.

John Wayne is a product of the importation by Mustang Demolition and Diepenhoek Holsteins of The Netherlands.  He is a son of 83" Tempter and out of a Shadow daughter, Fickle Miss.  From a second frozen embryo in the same importation they raised Miss Temptation who has a tip to tip of 54" at two years. She is a full sister to John Wayne.

In the 90's frozen embryos were exported by Dr. Fernando Silveira, of Ohio State University, to Brazil. The herd developed from these DCCI embryos is now under the management of Fabio Gayer of Goiania, Brazil. These cattle came from DCCI sires Highway Man by Senator and Zhivago semen. With new importations of Victory Lap semen to Brazil the purity of the herd will continue.

We are honored to produce embryos that are qualified for most countries.  It is a joy to provide genetics that not only are competitive abroad, but would be the very top end in the US herds.

Frozen embryos are the best and most economical way to start a quality full-blood Texas Longhorn herd beyond the USA. Check the ranch site for embryo matings available for US and export use at https://www.texaslonghorn.com/inventory/index.cfm?con=embryo  The DCCI staff is experienced in document preparation for successful exports to most countries.  Start your own herd of genetically superior stock by contacting Dickinson Cattle Co Inc, 35000 Muskrat, Barnesville, Ohio 43713 or call ph 740 758 5050

Life is too short to mess with average genetics. Go for the world's best.
