Early entries are arriving at the ITLA World Headquarters in Glen Rose, TX every day. The judges are getting ready, plans are being made, plane tickets, hotel reservations, and cattle of a highly competitive nature are being selected for competition.
Joe Assad is starting to register some of his 4 and 5 year old cows for the show. Jim Hix from California will attend his first official ITLA board meeting. Larry Lonero will officiate his first BOD meeting as the uncontested president. ITLA will host their first major futurity. The Cox Arena will be full of great cattle and great people. It is the perfect time of year -- not too hot, not too cold. None of that hot Summer torture.
As an early sneak preview -- these two cows may be entered. If you think you have cattle better then these, get your entries in and beat the sox off'n them. The owner of these cows thinks he will win. Do you think his cattle have what it takes for a national championship?
The two critters above are undefeated. (Have never been hammered at a show.) But, rumor is this is their first show. If you think you want to be the one that places above them, get your entries in before Sept. 1.
Don't miss this event of the year. I will see you there. Darol
