Your next herd sire can be a great genetic jump forward and he can be free! Here is how.
Check out the Dickinson Cattle Company 2014 young sire prospects on line at https://www.texaslonghorn.com/inventory/index.cfm?breedcode=T
Notice your choice can be bought between the low price of $1200 and $2000. These are sired by nationally known champions, some with record horn winnings and record actual weights. They are young, and ready to do your pasture services for 2015. They are known, famous bloodlines, not just "out of Arkansas by truck."
What next? If you have a mature bull who has worn out his welcome, offended the neighbors, trying to be friendly with his own daughters, jumping fences, or chasing the rural carrier, DCC takes trade-ins. If the old Texas Longhorn bull weighs over 1700 lbs you get $1.30 per lb trade in value on the new bull (1800 lbs X $1.30 = $2340) If the old rascal weighs over 1200 lbs it is $1.10 and over 1000 lbs is $.90 per lb. That will make the 2014 bulls free, and most of the 2013 bulls also free. What a deal??
What next after that? Once your new fancy DCC bull has served his time, beef by the pound is raising around 15% annually -- your old bull (next time) may be worth well over $3000. Take a crayola and figure this out. It is a win-win deal. Give us a call. 740 758 5050. The young bulls will be weaned in October.
*Don't forget the DCC Customer Appreciation Day, Oct 11, 2014 -- be here. Darol
