This coming Super Bowl will be different for folks in central, eastern Ohio. The home-town star, Colton McKivitz will be playing for the 49ers and he has a lot of friends around this area.

The 1949 grain threshing state-of-the-art process

With millions of balls flying and games every hour of every day, no one could ever watch all the balls batted, whacked, kicked, dribbled, putted, shot, head-butted or bowled. Everyone has to select how many and which things done to balls is of entertaining value. Well, the Super Bowl is by far the highest up the ball chain of spectator events and that is where Colton will be. Colton grew up in Belmont, Ohio and attended East Richland Christian School before transferring to Union Local High School shortly before his sophomore year. As a senior, Colton was named first-team All-Ohio. Union Local retired McKivitz's jersey number in 2019. A 3-star recruit, Colton initially committed to play college football at Miami of Ohio but later switched his commitment to West Virginia . On March, 2022 Colton signed a two-year contract with the 49ers and that became the magic fit.

Colton Number 68

Colton is a lover of outdoor activities, as he frequently spends his free time with his dad, Matt, fishing and hunting, for deer, ducks and squirrels. He caught his first fish, a bluegill, at age 3. Colton notes that the largest fish he’s ever caught was an 8-pounder which he caught in the Summer of 2019. Colton has a Dickinson Cattle Co (DCC) fishing permit which is good for 12 months. DCC has 8 lakes available for private fishing near Barnesville, Ohio.

Colton McKivitz stands well above Angie Miller

Colton McKivitz stands well above Angie Miller, his Union Local School teacher. Colton is the up-side of 300 lbs and plus 6'-6" tall. Angie is 4'-17" tall but was able, with strong "bluffing" discipline, keep Colton in line. Watch Colton perform in the next Super Bowl LVIII, but you may also see him at a DCC lake from time to time. Angie works at the Longhorns Head To Tail Store at DCC when not cracking the whip with her classes at Union Local. Also of note, Angie wears a size 8 shoe and Colton a 16. (He does not polish his toe nails.)
