Over 37 years ago Neil Zurcher developed the idea of One Tank Trips.
He said the idea was a one-week TV feature helping people find unique places they could enjoy on just one tank of gas.
The idea mushroomed from a week-long series to a weekly staple. He took trips to at least seven states and Canada during his lengthy career.
In fact, for the last 10 years of his work at Fox 8, Cleveland, the “One Tank Trips” were his full-time job. “You go on vacation once a week, anywhere you want to go,” he said, adding, "They never told (me) where to go. ... I tried to pick things other people would enjoy."
As a result of Neil's life dedication to Fox 8, Cleveland "One Tank Trip" has showed up at Dickinson Cattle Co., 4 times. The most recent was this past week. To tag along on this highly rated filming effort, just hang on.
