The Goal of Shows and Judging Texas Longhorns
The ultimate goal is to not only produce professional exhibitors, but also to produce good, sound, structurally correct cattle that will compete in the sale ring, on the range and in the show ring. The show ring is a tool to enlighten all people to the many true qualities of Texas Longhorn cattle, create marketing opportunities and reward superior cattle and their owners.

The Goal of Evaluating Texas Longhorns
A review clinic attendance is recommended for each judge every two years as a continuing education. Other continuing education for approved judges includes active participation in the Texas Longhorn industry, buying and selling of registered cattle, frequent attendance at shows and sales. Approved judges must be aware of current cattle values for considerations in class placements.
